The USBED Journal is a peer-reviewed, open access journal publishing the work of researchers in the social sciences and the educational sciences. The publication process runs through TÜBİTAK DergiPark; article submission, review and access to the archive all take place on that platform.

Every article is assessed by at least two subject-expert reviewers; reviewer identities are kept confidential.

Aim and Scope
- To host scholarly and current developments in the social and educational sciences.
- To be an accessible and reputable journal in which academics can publish.
- To let readers follow scholarly developments through open access.
Information for Authors
- Typeface: Times New Roman
- Abstract: 100–250 words
- Keywords: 3–8, from general to specific
- Total length: no more than 30 pages
- Referencing: APA 7, hanging indent

Publication Ethics
The journal has set the ethical principles to be observed by all parties in the publication process (authors, the editorial board and reviewers) on the basis of the COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.
- Only original work may be submitted; plagiarism, falsification, salami slicing and unfair authorship are not accepted.
- After preliminary checks (plagiarism screening, formatting, copyright form) each article is sent to at least two subject-expert reviewers.
- If one of the two reviewers gives a negative opinion, the article is referred to a third reviewer.
- Reviewer identities are kept confidential; reviewers assess only within their field of expertise and impartially.
- An article whose review process has begun cannot be withdrawn, and no change of authors may be requested.
Conference or journal?
Papers presented at the USBED Conference are published by default in the ISBN conference proceedings book. If you would rather publish your full text in the journal, you must submit the work to the journal separately; in that case the text is not included in the proceedings book.
The journal’s review and publication criteria differ markedly from the conference, and the journal gives no guarantee of publishing papers presented at the conference.
